Want to see native and the name in the studio where both albums have been recorded? It’s not just your regular studio however, but a converted barn..

The doors are Being opened for the first time and you’re invited to come and hear a special and intimate show with the band playing some as yet unrecorded new tracks as well as some more familiar songs.

Tickets are £9 and this includes a drink and some nibbles…

Sorry but due to access to the bands equipment this wont be suitable for young natives…

Hey guys,

Tickets are selling well thanks to you all!!

Just a quick update to let you know that even though the venue Doesn’t have a licence to sell alcohol they have kindly allowed us to bring our own – so if you do like a glass or two whilst listening to music you can bring your own!

They are selling refreshments as well so soft drinks and snacks are available at the venue!

Looking forward to seeing you all there – please keep on telling your friends and family about the launch.

We are very excited to announce that our new album ‘The Second Line’ is now with the printers and is coming out soon! The album will be launched on the 23rd Nov at our next gig at the Montgomery Theatre in Sheffield.

Who’d like to hear some new songs? Who’d like to hear some new songs in a beautiful theatre? Who’d then like to be able to buy some new songs heard in a beautiful theatre?

Native and the Name haven’t been hibernating, we’ve been working on a new album and we’d like to share these songs with you in the Montgomery theatre on the 23rd of November. Hi Folks

for those of you who were at the gig Friday night

thank you for your support and the warm atmosphere

hope you enjoyed it as much as I did

thought you might like to see another film by Nick Park of a song I wrote that he’s been listening to for about 10 years now

I think he’s totally understood the song and how I felt

some of you may identify with the words

although in a way – I hope not

but it all ends happily

see if you can spot the Nick sparkle at the end!

A Little Reminder of the Live Library Gig 27th April

Here’s a little reminder of the evening at the Library Theatre Sheffield on the 27th April 2012

We had good fun that night and already working on another show ASAP (should be a bit different)

We’ve started thinking about our next album and looking to start writing and recording in June 2012

We’re very excited about it and have already started to practice some of the songs that are hopefully going to appear on it.

Bury Me

A gift before the gig – hope you guys enjoy

So who knew the Sheffield Library had a theatre?….and the theatre was downstairs? Well I didn’t… What I do know now is that it looks like it’s a really exciting place to play. It’s art deco (so I’m told) and has a hidden bunker feel to it. I think it’s going to be a really special place to put on a show. For those who came to the Lantern Theatre it’s going to be similar…but different….and for those that didn’t, I thought you might like to know what to expect. The Lantern gig was a bit of an experiment in that we’d never done a gig in two halves before. First half had a laid back stripped down acoustic feel then with a bigger full band second half. We were pretty pleased with it and we’re working hard on getting some new stuff together for the Library. Joe’s also been busy writing and filming and I’m busy persuading Esther to play some more songs that no one’s heard before. So, a bit the same but also a bit different! So- here’s Joe’s new song and I really hope to see you at the Library….Jack Rose

Want to keep you guys up to date with what we are up to! We’ve just booked in a date at the library theatre in Sheffield for the 27th April .
